Senior UX/UI Designer
We’re seeking an experienced, multi-talented designer to help us make impactful, user-friendly websites, and empower mission-driven organizations with digital strategy to make the world a better place.
You have a mix of research and design experience, and understand that design is as much about how things work as how they look. You champion the needs of the user while understanding our clients’ needs, and you are comfortable working with and presenting to clients directly.
You are also a team player and excel at communicating and collaborating with others. You are a great listener, teacher, and facilitator. You are organized and capable of juggling multiple projects. You are generous with your knowledge and skills, and you’re continually looking for ways to improve processes.
In this role you will be the lead designer on projects, often working alongside other designers at Kalamuna or our partner agencies, and sometimes as the sole designer on an agile team. You will participate in discovery, design, and implementation phases of projects large and small, ensuring the design objectives of the project are well socialized, documented, and implemented successfully. On any given project you might interview stakeholders, conduct usability audits, develop wireframes, build and test prototypes, or craft visual identity systems. You may also be asked to research and implement new processes, write blog posts, and speak at conferences.
Candidates for this position must reside in the USA or Canada. We are a distributed team, so you must be able to work remotely, and have an excellent broadband internet connection. If you are an expert in primarily UX or UI design, or if you are a talented intermediate, we are open to hearing from you too!
